Dear Friends,
Let me first apologize for any confusion you may have about me or my shop.
Last year, another florist and I decided to open a new shop in Clinton. My new partner already owned a flower shop in a nearby town, and I felt more secure having a partner.
But, after only 4 months in business, I discovered that my partner had removed my name from our lease and from the partnership. She changed the locks on the flower shop door and not only barred me from my shop but kept much of my own personal property. Her intention was to remove me and keep our shop open for herself.
My husband and I determined not to let this happen. We found a great space just down the street at 39 College Street and re-opened.
It gets pretty complicated and confusing here, but my x-partner soon decided she wasn’t really welcome in Clinton and retreated to Oneida.
But, here’s the part that is confusing people. The website and telephone number have NOT been removed, and unsuspecting customers, thinking that they are calling Norma’s Best Blooms have incorrectly called the shop in Oneida and have been told that “Norma is out”, or that “Norma no longer works here.”
I think that healthy competition is a good thing, but these tactics are dishonest.
So, don’t be fooled. If you call 853-2700 - please understand that you are not calling Norma’s Best Blooms. The phone will be answered by someone in Oneida - pretending that they are in Clinton.
This is my home, I've been here for many years. You have been wonderful customers and friends, and I am looking forward to years of service to the residents of Clinton and Central New York.
